Refund Policy
Effective date: 11 October 2026
The short version
If you’re not happy with Oxcart, you can get your money back within 30 days of buying, for any reason. This covers the $20 license and the $15 upgrade.
You also get a free 60-day trial first, so please try it before you buy.
How to ask
- Write to billing@oxcart.cc from the email on your license (or tell us the order number or the email you bought with), or ask Paddle directly at the help address on your Paddle receipt.
- A request made within 30 days is granted. We approve it, and Paddle processes it.
- We don’t ask for a reason.
- Paddle is the Merchant of Record, so Paddle processes the refund, back to the original payment method. Banks can take 5 to 10 working days to show it.
What happens to your license
When a purchase is refunded, its license is revoked. Your Mac learns about this the next time Oxcart checks in with oxcart.cc, which happens about once a week while you’re online. Until then it may keep working. After revocation, Oxcart goes back to the trial state: if your 60-day trial is over, containers run in 15-minute sessions.
A refund cancels the whole license, including a refunded upgrade. If you ask for your $15 upgrade back, you lose the entire license, including access to the version you had before. If you only want to stop using the new major, just keep using the one you have; don’t request a refund. Cancellation takes effect the next time each of your Macs checks in.
Your legal rights
This policy doesn’t take away rights you have by law. If you live in the EU or UK, you may have a right to withdraw from a digital purchase within 14 days. Paddle’s Buyer Terms explain how that works. Our 30 days includes and extends those 14.
Chargebacks and abuse
Please ask for a refund instead of disputing the charge with your bank; it’s faster. If we see repeated refund requests for the same person, we may decline further ones.
Taxes
A refund includes the tax you paid on the purchase.
